This is the D-Link 853 and the following guide will help you re-configure it if you've pushed the small button at the back. Not the right modem? Click here.
Step by Step Guide
1. Unplug the cable from the Internet port of the modem, then connect one of your devices to the WiFi - if you are using a mobile, make sure your data is turned OFF.
2. Open a web browser, type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, and press Enter.
3. If you get a popup asking for a username and/or password, trying logging in with the fields empty. If that doesn't work, press the reset button on the back of the router and repeat the last two steps when the Wi-Fi comes back on.
4. Once you've logged in, the Terms Of Use And Privacy Policy will pop up - click on "Agree" to proceed.
4. The automatic configuration wizard will then pop up - cancel out of it by clicking on the cross in the top right.
5. You'll now be on the home page of the router. At the top, click on the "Settings" tab and select "Internet" from the drop-down.
6. There will be another drop-down menu labelled "My Internet Connection is" in the middle of the new page. Choose "PPPoE" from the list.
7. Below the drop-down, type in "customer@compassnet.co.nz" as the username and "compass" as the password. Once done, click on Save in the top right.
8. You'll get confirmation in a new pop up that the details have been saved. Connect the cable back to the Internet port of router and you can close the browser as you'll be back online!
